This is my hospital: Cape Coral Hospital
Yes, it's in the Cape, but it's the only place the midwives deliver at. I haven't toured it yet but we'll be signing up for classes and during that time they walk you through the birth suites. I hope it's not all sterile and hospital-like, I get light-headed and dizzy when I go into hospital rooms and while I think I'll be a little distracted with other matters when I'm actually in the room hopefully just walking through doesn't make me want to pass out.
Bonus is I'm not tied down to the bed during labor, so I can get up and move around if I want to. You know, I've never understood why they tell you to stop sleeping and laying on your back when the baby gets bigger because it cuts off blood flow, then want you to spend hours of labor... on your back. I guess it's something to ask the doctor.
I need to sign up for classes for childbirth prep, breastfeeding, and baby care.
I would think that they tell you not to lay on your back, etc. so that you'll be more ready to during labor. That almost sounds plausible, right?
ReplyDeleteAren't classes great? I would totally take the childbirth prep class if I have more time. You know, just for fun. %)
