10 Weeks!

Today I'm 10 weeks pregnant. Almost through my first trimester (that's anywhere from 12 to 14 weeks depending on who you ask). I have been blessed to have only been incredibly nauseous rather than throwing up, I'm sure I'm being cursed right now by women not so lucky. Then again, I have never been one to throw up very often, I can name the 3 times I can remember in the last 20 years.

Pixel, as friends have dubbed the little blob, is growing right along, forming bones and joints and itty bitty tooth buds this week. It's really amazing what the body can do.

My first ultrasound was at 8 weeks, 3 days. We got to hear the heartbeat and everything, it was amazing. The moment that little blob popped up on screen I couldn't stop grinning. It's too bad the midwife (we're using a midwife who's part of an OB practice) waited until after the ultrasound to ask if we had any questions because I was so high up on Cloud 9 I couldn't think of any to ask.



We have another meeting this Friday for financial stuff and to meet with the midwife for questions and test results from the gallon of blood they drew at my first appointment. I hope I get to hear the heartbeat on the doppler!
